ABOUT THE OWNER

Vocalist, producer and audio enginner from Western Australia, Mandu's music is inspired by a dark, atmospheric, and romantic tone, similar to artists like Clams Casino, XXYYXX, and Lorn. He has collaborated with artists such as My Head is Empty, Keep it Inside, Aidan, Yung Van, Jonny Chidi, and Serenity, collecting over 5 million streams across all platforms. Currently a school music teacher, Mandu aims to slowly integrate musical production as an educational resource to enhance students' skills, knowledge, and enjoyment of the musical content included within the Australian Curriculum.

“As a music producer, I understand that producing music can sometimes be viewed negatively. It doesn't help that we often become perfectionists, spending hours searching for the perfect snare or days trying to complete a song that never feels quite 'good enough' compared to others. Taking breaks from my own space and spending time with friends and family outdoors helped me rediscover my love for producing music in late 2021. I went to the beach frequently and would return home after sunset, appreciating my time alone more by making art through music production. It's all about balance. The name ‘Coastline Sonics’ represents the balance between my time producing music and my time away from it, reconnecting with life and creating new memories with those I care about.”
